"It takes half your life before you discover life is a do-it-yourself project."
-Napoleon Hill
How curious are you to know how things are done or made? As a child, so much of what I know now through experience seemed unreachable then. Saying that out loud sounds silly now because I now know so much CAN be done by yourself. And even the attempt to try and do something myself builds respect for those who do something as a trade or as an art. Experience is most definitely the most brutal of teachers,
as C.S. Lewis once wrote.
So by trying and doing, we gain respect for others and their talents. We gain respect for ourselves for what we really can achieve and gain valuable self awareness of what we can or are not so gifted at doing. And we learn.
In this section of The Articles by Evari, we share some of the projects we have taken on ourselves and how we accomplished them within certain limitations. Everywhere we go, anywhere we live, our thrill is in resourcefully making things better. We do our best to up-cycle, reuse what we can, and make things economical.
Because if we can do it, you can too - or at least try!
