Coming from a place deeply understanding that learning is never complete, we face the world with curiosity and honesty. We challenge the stereotypes and traditions with open minds and hard questions. We know through experience that the only thing constant in life is change. We don't let other's fear of change affect our progress.

We aim to take a bird's eye view, zooming out and changing lenses when necessary.

We change from a lens of "this is what I know" to the lens that asks "what can I learn?" and then we share what we have learned. By listening to other's stories, observing their experiences and lives, we also gain wisdom and insight. We believe, different can be better.

About the Author

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay, over the last 15 years, I have lived and worked in culturally diverse environments primarily in the US and Europe. I'm happily married to my best friend, Nick, who I write about often in here and is the source of any "our" and "we" statements.

My favorite place I have ever lived was in Italy for 6 years where our oldest daughter was born and where I learned to fluently speak Italian. There we launched two organizations focused on teaching kids English in a fun and experiential way.

Life brought us back the States to CA where our second wonderful daughter was born. Now living in Portland, in 2022 my husband and I launched our own company, Evari Properties. After 5 years of short-term and mid-term housing experience with raving reviews we decided to make it official and scale up. We provide fully furnished and equipped housing solutions to families, businesses and individuals.

I also launched my own design business in 2022, Designs by Evari, where I specialize in brand design for new businesses in the corporate housing industry.

For two years I worked with an amazing startup serving as a media buyer, copywriter, creative asset designer, and marketing campaign manager specializing in the podcast industry.

I do voiceovers and have had several happy clients for my voiceover ads including Land Rover, 1440 News, and Wing Bikes. I'm currently a cohost for the new podcast from Narrative.fm called Secret Heroes.

Several of my written works have been published through podcasts under Narrative.fm along with written and audiobook summaries and key takeaways through Aspire.fm. Check out the Obscurities and In The Wild
